After boycotting Cannes, Netflix is premiering six of its own productions at the Venice Film Festival.
That has angered Italian cinema exhibitors who’ve attacked Netflix’ strategy of making films available for streaming on the same day as their theatrical release.
But some in the film industry say big online platforms are vital to new filmmakers.
