The Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage has lined up activities to mark Eid Al Fitr.
The Director of the Cultural and Arts Department, Faleh Ajlan Al Hajri, told a press conference yesterday that the ministry seeks to attract a large number of people from Qatar and other GCC states.
He said some events will be held at Qatar National Theatre, including Furjan Play, written by Qatari artist Ghanem Al Sulaiti and directed by Hassan Rajab from the UAE. It will be staged for a month.
Al Hajri said that the department, in cooperation with Qatar Tourism Authority, will also host folk troupes for 10 days at shopping complexes, including Flaggio, Hyatt Plaza, Landmark, City Center, Laguna, in Dafna Area and Mall in Al Khor.
Qatari folk troupes will perform in the Heritage Village.
