Weather forecasters said yesterday there are chances of light rains in some places in the country today amidst high humidity levels.
Humidity was high yesterday and is expected to remain so today as well, ranging between 35 and 80 percent. There is likely to be no reprieve tomorrow also, as humidity levels have been forecast at between 40 and 85 percent.
Southeasterly winds are causing high humidity, according to a forecaster. But the southeasterly wind also brought down the temperatures yesterday.
Maximum temperatures forecast for today are 39 degrees Celsius (Messaid and Al Wakra), 38 degrees Celsius (in Doha and Al Khor) and 37 degrees Celsius in Al Ruwais in the north. Minimum temperatures would vary between 30 and 32 degrees Celsius.
There would be scattered clouds today with chances of light rains in some places, said the forecast.
