Sudan: ‘Revolution of the hungry’ persists despite crackdown

More protests are planned in Sudan against President Omar al-Bashir‘s 30-year rule. Demonstrations began almost six weeks ago over demands for basic life necessities, as well as the rise in the price of bread.

The demands for economic reform and political change have grown ever since.

Al Jazeera’s Mohamed Vall reports from the capital Khartoum.
