Philippines: Human rights lawyer shot dead

Ben Ramos was outside his office when two motorcycle-borne gunmen shot him three times. He was the 35th victim of such crimes against the legal fraternity in the last two years.

Amid the rising crimes against lawyers, judges and prosecutors in the Philippines, people are increasingly alarmed at the murder of the legal experts representing them.

Al Jazeera’s Jamela Alindogan reports from the city of Sipalay.
