China accused of political meddling after Taiwan local elections

The leadership of Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen is in doubt after her ruling party was defeated in last week’s election.

Worsening relations with China seem to have contributed to the poor result.

In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera, Taiwan’s foreign minister accuses China of meddling in the island’s politics.
