(CNN)Ben Maher finished the Longines Global Champions Tour season in style with double victory in Qatar.
Maher, a 35-year-old Briton, and his wonder horse Explosion W saved the best for last as they took the overall team title before clinching the 16th and final leg of the individual LGCT at the Al Shaqab Equestrian Facility in Doha on Saturday.
“Just can’t quite take it in to be honest,” Maher told LGCT television after racing to his fourth individual win of the season in a nine-horse jump-off in 35.50 seconds.
