Ukraine filmmaker jailed in Russia wins EU rights award

A filmmaker from Ukraine, who has been jailed in Russia, has won a major prize for defending human rights and fundamental freedoms.

The European Parliament has awarded its annual Sakharov Prize to Oleg Sentsov.

He says Russian security services tortured him into confessing to committing terrorism three years ago.
