India ‘Whatsapp murders’: Phone rumours spark frenzied mobs

In India, action is being demanded by the grieving parents of victims of so-called “WhatsApp murders” after false rumours were spread on the phone app,

At least 27 men have recently been beaten to death by frenzied mobs who wrongly accused them of being child snatchers.
