Emojis, so much more than a smiley in UK exhibition

Emojis – ideograms and smileys used in electronic messages – were invented in Japan where a complex alphabet made texting cumbersome.

In the past few years, they have become such an integral part of the way many of us communicate that they’re being featured in an art exhibition in the UK.
