Hong Kong: New app helps people avoid pollution

Hong Kong has had record levels of ozone this summer; a complex mix of pollutants that is worse during heatwaves.

A team of researchers has developed a mobile app that gives real-time pollution readings at street level anywhere in the city, allowing people to plan their days while avoiding pollution.

Al Jazeera’s Rob McBride reports from Hong Kong.
