Colombia deaths tribunal: Concerns over court’s jurisdiction

A special tribunal in Colombia is examining more than 2,000 cases of extrajudicial killings between 2008 and 2014.

The look into the “false positive” scandal is part of the historic peace deal between the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia – known as the FARC.

Critics, however, say the court lacks the powers to hold the culprits accountable.
