Top grossing Korean film The Thieves will be screened from tomorrow until August 28 at Katara Drama Theatre, as part of Katara DFI Cinema.
\nDirected by Choi Dong Hoon, this star-studded heist movie is one of the top grossing Korean films of all time.
\nThe film is about a band of five infamous Korean thieves headed by Popie (Lee Jung-Jae) who receives an irresistible offer from former partner Macau Park, to steal a $20m diamond known as \u2018Tear of the Sun\u2019 from a casino.
\nThe team travels to Hong Kong where Park brings along four other Chinese thieves to complete the job. On the day of the heist, the professionals who left nothing to chance find their perfect plan quickly turn into disaster revealing that they all have their own agenda.
\nAn entertaining, action-packed heist thriller, The Thieves had its North American premiere at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival.
