Future Movement official Ahmad Hariri accused Hezbollah of seeking to ignite wars in Lebanon and said the Iranian-backed group\u2019s outlook clash with his own.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are loads of differences between their dream and ours,\u201d Hariri told a Future Movement Iftar banquet at BIEL in downtown Beirut Wednesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cHezbollah and March 8 forces want to militarize the people and ignite futile wars … while the Future Movement and March 14 forces want a state of fairness, justice, human rights and openness for the free peoples of the world in order to develop our society and our economy for Lebanon to shine.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe dream of the Future Movement and March 14 forces is that Lebanon regain its [stature] as the Jewel of the Middle East, the pearl of the Arabs and an oasis of freedom,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile their dream it that Lebanon becomes a replica of Wilayat al-Faqih in Iran and a military rule in North Korea,\u201d Hariri added.<\/p>\n
Hezbollah\u2019s support for Syrian President Bashar Assad in his war against rebels was also another \u201cambition\u201d that clashed with the Future Movement\u2019s aspirations for a democratic Syria, Hariri said.<\/p>\n
He accused \u201csome\u201d of trying to stir up sectarian strife in Lebanon and exploit attacks against the Lebanese Army in the Bekaa Valley town of Arsal to distort the Sunni image in Lebanon to portray them as \u201cextremists.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cTherefore, we tell Hezbollah and their allies loudly: Hands off the Lebanese Army. Your excessive love for the Army is just like candy mixed with poison,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
