{"id":42883,"date":"2020-06-08T09:23:01","date_gmt":"2020-06-08T09:23:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/qatar-news.org\/qatarnewsEn\/?p=42883"},"modified":"2020-06-08T09:23:01","modified_gmt":"2020-06-08T09:23:01","slug":"un-says-encouraged-by-libyan-calls-to-resume-peace-talks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qatar-news.org\/qatarnewsEn\/?p=42883","title":{"rendered":"UN says \u2018encouraged\u2019 by Libyan calls to resume peace talks"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"60.27974568574\">\n<p>\nDubai: Expat workers in Oman will be allowed to change jobs, but only if they provide proof that current contract has finished or has been terminated, national daily <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofoman.com\/article\/3015675\/oman\/government\/oman-removes-noc-expats-can-switch-jobs\">Times of Oman<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe new rule, which comes into force from January, 2021, sees the end to a two year ban on expats changing jobs in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\nUnder the rules foreign nationals will be able to move to a new employer if that company has a license to recruit staff, and the individuals can provide proof of the end of work contract or termination of it.<\/p>\n<p>\nJob seekers must also provide evidence of the approval of the competent government authority on allowing the signed contract with the second employer.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe transfer will also include the transfer of the residence of the employee\u2019s family.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe announcement has been largely welcomed by employers in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cI think that companies have, in the past, spent a lot of money in trying to recruit foreign talent from overseas, because they were unable to secure the services of skilled foreign workers in the country,\u201d CEO of the National Gas Company Nalin Chandna said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dubai: Expat workers in Oman will be allowed to change jobs, but only if they provide proof that current contract has finished or has been terminated, national daily Times of Oman reported.
