Japan markets are closed for a holiday.<\/div>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph speakable\">Chip makers got a boost after US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2019-11-03\/ross-optimistic-on-china-trade-deal-says-huawei-licenses-coming?srnd=premium\" target=\"_blank\">told Bloomberg<\/a> on Sunday that licenses allowing US companies to sell to<strong> <\/strong>Huawei &#8220;will be forthcoming very shortly.&#8221; He said his office has received 260 requests for licenses. <\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hong Kong (CNN Business)Asian markets edged up on Monday, following last week&#8217;s gains on Wall Street as well as news of a potential reprieve for Huawei.
