{"id":40329,"date":"2019-08-01T12:26:53","date_gmt":"2019-08-01T12:26:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/qatar-news.org\/qatarnewsEn\/?p=40329"},"modified":"2019-08-01T12:26:53","modified_gmt":"2019-08-01T12:26:53","slug":"daesh-attacks-kill-seven-security-forces-in-iraq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qatar-news.org\/qatarnewsEn\/?p=40329","title":{"rendered":"Daesh attacks kill seven security forces in Iraq"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"71\">\n<p>\nTwo separate attacks in Aden on Thursday killed and wounded dozens, security sources reported.<\/p>\n<p>\nDozens of police, including a senior commander, were killed or wounded in an attack on a military camp west of government-held second city Aden.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cThe blast occurred behind the stand where the ceremony was taking place at Al Jalaa military camp in Buraiqa district in Aden,\u201d the witness told Reuters. \u201cA group of soldiers were crying over a body believed to be of the commander.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nThe Houthi militia\u2019s official channel Al Masirah TV said the group had launched a medium-range ballistic missile and an armed drone at the parade, which it described as being staged in preparation for a military move against provinces held by the movement.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe parade \u201cwas being used to prepare for an advance on Taiz and Dalea\u201d, Masirah cited a Houthi military spokesman as saying.<\/p>\n<p>\nIn a separate attack in another district of Aden on Thursday, an explosives-laden car blew up at a police station in the city\u2019s Omar al-Mokhtar neighborhood, killing three soldiers.<\/p>\n<p>\nSources say at least 20 people were wounded, including three civilians.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe bomber drove into the police station\u2019s gates shortly before the morning police lineup before the start of the workday.<br \/>The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren\u2019t authorized to talk to reporters and the witnesses declined to identify themselves for fear of reprisals.<\/p>\n<p>\nIt was not clear if the incidents were related.
