Security forces blocked all roads leading to the areas.<\/p>\n<p>Wahidullah Mayar, a spokesman for the public health ministry, said at least four women were wounded in the bus bombing and had been taken to hospitals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No one immediately claimed responsibility for the Kabul attacks. Both the Taliban and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/topics\/organisations\/isis-isil.html\">ISIL<\/a> or ISIS) launch regular assaults in the capital.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Violence continues<\/h2>\n<p>Eight Afghan police were killed on Saturday and seven others wounded in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/topics\/organisations\/taliban.html\">Taliban<\/a> suicide attack in the eastern Ghazni city, provincial police spokesman Ahmad Khan Seera told AFP news agency.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Even though the Taliban and the United States are set to begin a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2019\/06\/taliban-hold-talks-doha-month-long-lull-190601150034738.html\">new round of peace talks<\/a> in Doha this month, violence across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/topics\/country\/afghanistan.html\">Afghanistan<\/a> continues unabated, with civilians often bearing the brunt of the bloodshed.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, a Taliban car bomber killed at least four Afghan civilians and lightly wounded four US troops in an attack on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2019\/05\/afghanistan-car-bomb-targets-convoy-foreign-forces-kabul-190531055455183.html\">US convoy<\/a> in Kabul.<\/p>\n<p>A day earlier, at least six people were killed and 16 more wounded in an ISIL-claimed suicide blast outside a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2019\/05\/suicide-bomber-targets-afghan-military-training-centre-kabul-190530082719388.html\">military academy<\/a> in the capital.<\/p>\n<p>Eight Afghan police were killed on Saturday and seven others wounded in a suicide attack in the eastern Ghazni city, provincial police spokesman Ahmad Khan Seera told AFP news agency.<\/p>\n<p>Afghan President Ashraf Ghani had proposed a nationwide ceasefire at the start of Ramadan early last month, but the Taliban rejected the offer.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the Taliban observed a three-day ceasefire over Eid and many Afghans &#8211; exhausted by decades of war and violence &#8211; had pinned their hopes on another truce this year.<\/p>\n<p>Taliban head Haibatullah Akhunzada said on Saturday there would be no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2019\/06\/taliban-leader-pledges-fighting-eid-message-190601093359747.html\">&#8220;cold water&#8221;<\/a> poured on the group&#8217;s military efforts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three explosions struck the Afghan capital, including a magnetic bomb attached to a bus carrying university students that killed at least one person, officials said.
