But BlackRock&#8217;s massive iShares ETF business is still booming in spite of the market volatility. <\/p>\n<p>BlackRock said a record $81.4 billion flowed into its iShares funds during the fourth quarter &#8212; proof that investors still love inexpensive passive funds and don&#8217;t value stock picking advice as much as they used to. <\/p>\n<p>CEO Larry Fink predicts that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2019\/01\/15\/investing\/stock-market-today-morgan-stanley\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">bumpy ride on Wall Street may not be over yet<\/a> either. He said during a conference call that &#8220;political, economic and social outlooks globally remain clouded and unclear&#8221; and added that investors remain concerned about trade tension with China, interest rates in the US, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2019\/01\/15\/business\/germany-economy-slowdown\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">weak growth in Europe<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2018\/12\/31\/perspectives\/stock-market-outlook-2019-populism\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">rise of populist politics.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>In other words, buckle up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The insane level of market volatility last last year took its toll on BlackRock.
