\nYemen’s foreign Minster\u00a0Khalid Al-Yamani called on the international community\u00a0to push the Houthis militia to implement the UN peace agreement.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n“The Houthis have\u00a0yet accepted to withdraw from the Hodeidah and its ports,” Al-Yamani said during a joint press conference with the Jordanian Foreign\u00a0Minister\u00a0Ayman Safadi in Amman.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nThe Houthi militia\u00a0had agreed to withdraw from Hodeidah and hand over the port to the United Nations after UN-sponsored\u00a0peace talks in Sweden concluded on Dec. 18, 2018.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nHowever late last month, the UN cast\u00a0doubt on the claims by the Houthis to have withdrawn from the port of Hodeidah, saying such steps can only be credible if all other parties can verify them.<\/p>\n
\nThe Jordanian foreign minister also stressed the need\u00a0to implement the Sweden agreement to end the\u00a0crisis.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n“We support\u00a0all efforts to resolve the Yemen crisis and end the suffering of the Yemeni people,”\u00a0Safadi said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
