Now the country&#8217;s economic slowdown is putting their earnings at risk. <\/p>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph speakable\">Apple (<a href=\"https:\/\/money.cnn.com\/quote\/quote.html?symb=aapl\" target=\"_blank\">AAPL<\/a>) on Wednesday said that it expected a weaker Chinese economy to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2019\/01\/02\/tech\/apple-iphone-sales-guidance\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">hurt its holiday sales numbers<\/a>, prompting its stock to plunge up to 8% in after hours trading. CEO Tim Cook said in a letter to investors that the company had been blindsided by &#8220;the magnitude of the economic deceleration&#8221; there.<\/div>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph speakable\">It isn&#8217;t the only company that could suffer.
