Among the wounded was deputy district commissioner Ibrahim Hassan Matan.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the wounded were young students from the nearby secondary school, according to officials.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The blast also blew off the roof of a mosque and damaged homes nearby.<\/p>\n<p>The armed group <a class=\"InternalLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/topics\/organisations\/al-shabab.html\" target=\"_blank\">al-Shabab<\/a> claimed responsibility for the attack, which shattered a period of calm in the seaside capital.<\/p>\n<p>The al-Qaeda-linked group is fighting to overthrow the UN-backed government in Mogadishu.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div readability=\"32\">\n<p>\n            SOURCE: <span>Al Jazeera and news agencies<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At least six people were killed in a \u00a0bombing of a local government office building in Somalia&#8217;s capital, Mogadishu, officials say.
