Plus, Ethiopia&#8217;s new prime minister and the hope for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/topics\/categories\/media.html\">media<\/a> reform.<\/p>\n<h2>Grappling with the far right on the UK&#8217;s airwaves<\/h2>\n<p>In seeking to explain the rise of far-right, anti-immigration movements in countries like Great Britain, many are asking what role the media have played: do such movements and the support that they attract drive media coverage &#8211; or is it the other way around?<\/p>\n<p>Do the news media, through excessive coverage, help manufacture that support?<\/p>\n<p>Take <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2018\/07\/trump-ambassador-lobbied-uk-jailed-tommy-robinson-report-180714192445681.html\">Tommy Robinson<\/a>, a far-right agitator who calls himself a warrior for freedom of speech on issues such as migration.
